Shabby Chic Heart Ornament

This is my newest creation.  A burlap and vintage lace Shabby Chic Heart!  It is a large 10 x 5.5 inches with an 8 inch olive green seam binding hanger.  I used burlap as the base, and added a transfer copy of a vintage die cut ( I have a collection of vintage die cuts that are great for copying and using for transfers!)

yellow rose on a vintage tea stained hanky.  I then layered vintage lace trims and velvet ribbon.  I added tiny vintage mother of pearl buttons.  I primitively straight stitched the edges and used fray check all around the outer edge.  This makes a great decoration on a doorknob, a wall hook, bed post, shelf with hooks, etc.  Large enough to even be placed on the bed or a sofa as an accent pillow!  Check out my shop for more hearts made from recycled vintage linens!
